Our Practice

 

Our core believe that ability should be rewarded and our conviction that we can play a major part in the success of our clients led to the founding of VNR early in 2008 by Jannie Venter and Charlie Naude under the name Venter Naude Rekenmeesters.

The practice was since build into a respected wealth and tax advisory firm. Our enviable client base includes some of the region’s top entrepreneurs and some of the fastest growing young companies. The company VNR (Pty) Ltd was incorporated in 2013

The directors are both affiliated with SAIPA: Charlie as Professional Accountant (SA) and Jannie as both a Professional Accountant (SA) and a Professional Tax Practitioner (SA), through the SAIPA Centre of tax excellence (CoTE).

Jannie Matriculated in 2000 from Montana High School with distinctions in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Accounting and Business Economics. He also progressed to the second round of the Old Mutual National Math Olympiad in that year. During his graduate studies he served on the Central TUKS RAG (University of Pretoria Reach Out and Give, NPO/PBO) committee in the portfolio Procession: Cans and Reconciliation.

After completing his graduate studies Jannie completed his SAICA articles at the well respected Compendium Auditors in Pretoria (South Africa) during which time he also finished his Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science at UNISA. He qualified as a Professional Accountant (SA) after passing the SAIPA qualifying exam in 2008. His passion towards being an expert is evident in his continued studies and him achieving a Post Graduate Certification in Advanced Taxation, with distinction in 2013.Jannie made time to add value to business in his region by being actively involved as committee member of his institutes’ regional committee from 2011 to 2014 as well as acting as liaison between the South African Revenues Services and the Company and Intellectual Property Commission and the South African Institute of Professional Accountants.

Jannie is a keen golfer and enjoys angling and bird watching.

Charles Lodewyk Naudé (Charlie)

Charlie Matriculated in 2000 at the High School John Vorster in Nigel with distinctions in Mathematics and Accounting.  He finished university four years later, in 2004, with a B Com Honours degree in Financial Accounting from The Potchefstoom University for Christian Higher Education.

He had a fulfilling student life, which included serving a term on the hostel’s House Committee and giving back to the community through being part of the PUK’s JOOL Committee.

He completed his SAICA articles at the well respected Compendium Auditors in Pretoria (South Africa). He qualified as a Professional Accountant (SA) after passing the SAIPA qualifying exam in 2008.

He is actively involved in the upliftment of the disabled by serving on the board of Gauteng North: Services to People with Disabilities, where he serves as the Honorary Treasurer. Charlie also adds value to his profession and business in general and served as chairman on the SAIPA Jacaranda District Committee from 2014 to 2017. Charlie currently serves on the SAIPA national board and as a member of SAIPA’s Audit and Risk Committee.

Charlie enjoys the occasional round of golf and is a keen bird watcher.

Zelda Visser

Zelda matriculated in 2002. After gaining almost 10 years of invaluable experience in bookkeeping and administration she enrolled with The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers in 2012 to further her academic qualifications.  Her completion of the National Diploma in Financial Accounting during 2014, maintaining a 90% average whilst being a mother and perusing a career, bears testament to her aptitude and passion for the profession. She was admitted as Business Accountant (SA) by the Southern African Institute for Business Accountants and also joined The South African Institute of Tax Practitioners as General Tax Practitioner (SA) later that year. In 2016 she joined VNR, where she lives out her passion for teaching people new skills and promoting self-efficiency through new technology. She has been  heading the Bookkeeping & Payroll department in her role as Associate Director at VNR ever since.
