Our Practice
Our core belief that ability should be rewarded and our conviction that we can play a major part in the success of our clients led to the founding of VNR early in 2008 by Jannie Venter and Charlie Naude under the name Venter Naude Rekenmeesters.
The practice was since built into a respected wealth and tax advisory firm. Our enviable client base includes some of the region's top entrepreneurs and some of the fastest-growing young companies. The company VNR (Pty) Ltd was incorporated in 2013.
The directors are both affiliated with SAIPA: Charlie as Professional Accountant (SA) and Jannie as both a Professional Accountant (SA) and a Professional Tax Practitioner (SA), through the SAIPA Centre of Tax Excellence (CoTE).

Jannie Matriculated in 2000 from Montana High School with distinctions in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Accounting and Business Economics. He also progressed to the second round of the Old Mutual National Math Olympiad that year. During his graduate studies, he served on the Central TUKS RAG (University of Pretoria Reach Out and Give, NPO/PBO) committee in the portfolio Procession: Cans and Reconciliation.
After completing his graduate studies Jannie completed his SAICA articles at the well respected Compendium Auditors in Pretoria (South Africa) during which time he also finished his Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science at UNISA. He qualified as a Professional Accountant (SA) after passing the SAIPAqualifying exam in 2008. His passion for being an expert is evident in his continued studies and his achieving a Post Graduate Certification in Advanced Taxation, with distinction in 2013.
Jannie made time to add value to the business in his region by being actively involved as a committee member of his institutes' regional committee from 2011 to 2014 as well as acting as a liaison between the South African Revenues Services and the Company and Intellectual Property Commission and the South African Institute of Professional Accountants.
Jannie is a keen golfer and enjoys angling and bird watching.

Charlie Matriculated in 2000 at the High School John Vorster in Nigel with distinctions in Mathematics and Accounting. He finished university four years later, in 2004, with a B Com Honours degree in Financial Accounting from The Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education.
He had a fulfilling student life, which included serving a term on the hostel's House Committee and giving back to the community through being part of the PUK's JOOL Committee.
He completed his SAICA articles at the well respected Compendium Auditors in Pretoria (South Africa). He qualified as a Professional Accountant (SA) after passing the SAIPA qualifying exam in 2008.
He is actively involved in the upliftment of the disabled by serving on the board of Gauteng North: Services to People with Disabilities, where he serves as the Honorary Treasurer.
Charlie also adds value to his profession and business in general and served as chairman on the SAIPA Jacaranda District Committee from 2014 to 2017. Charlie currently serves on the SAIPA national board as the Vice-Chairman and is a member of SAIPA's Executive Committee.
Charlie enjoys the occasional round of golf and is a keen bird watcher.

Henry completed his matric in 2009 at Hoërskool Wonderboom, Pretoria. He followed his passion for finance and all things related and enrolled for BCom Financial Management at the University of Pretoria. After 4 years of studying he successfully completed his Honours degree in Taxation.
Henry concluded his SAIT (South African Institute of Tax Professionals) articles at JTC Auditors in 2016 and qualified as a Professional Tax Practitioner. During his tenure at JTC he was also awarded “Employee of the Year”, “Clerk of the Year” & “100% attendance”. Henry is also a certified Caseware Champ.
Henry joined the VNR family in 2017 as a Junior Accountant and Tax Consultant. He excelled at his work and has subsequently been promoted to his current role as Accounting and Tax Manager.
Henry has an extensive lego collection, loves animals, gadgets and occasionally enjoys crafting his own beer
